The photographic installation Medical Spaces consists of twenty images of fictitious settings and ephemeral constructions in which medicines are represented as buildings. In this body of work, I represent medicines as buildings to comment on pharmaceutical products as mediators exercising power and control over the human body. Huge triumphant structures of glowing pills and containers are put together to create an imaginary space for the body, a "medical space" in which pills appear powerful, as their architectural structure implies. In Medical Spaces, body has been "consumed" by pills and is manifested by its absence or as a caricature.
