In Under Represented Locations, I am interested in documenting these architectural parts and structures of the contemporary city that usually remain unseen despite their significance in the constitution of the city geography. The photographs are from various neighbourhoods of the city of Athens. URL combines further ‘real’ and ‘unreal’ components enforced by digital interventions into the initial photographs/documents. By transforming and/or adding ‘unreal’ elements and scenes into the pictures, my purpose is to intervene in the architectural body of the city, to disturb its continuity and solidity and convey finally sympathy and tenderness for those “filthy” and “ugly” parts of the city, which are usually disregarded.
